I’ve mentioned before that my mom had a Series 1 E-Type that she totaled.
“You’re... not the best driver.”
“I’m a great driver. I was reckless when I was young though.”
“But you totaled a lot of cars.”
“I was reckless and raced a lot I had to be a good driver to survive.”
“That’s not how good driving works.”
“Two crashes in three years I think it was. Or two in two, I don’t know. That doesn’t count your grandmother’s Camaro.”
“That would have been... 1967?”
“Yes.”
Two things I know: my mom has driven cooler cars than I ever will, and my mom is a shitty, shitty, shitty, shitty driver.

Very true. She also owned, and as far as I know, never crashed, a 1963 Corvette, four Bel Airs (two 55s, a 56, and a 57), and a first gen MR2, that I thought was the coolest car in the world when I was a kid.
